{"id":1003,"date":"2012-08-15T03:15:08","date_gmt":"2012-08-15T03:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/gradadmissions\/?page_id=1003"},"modified":"2022-06-14T19:47:06","modified_gmt":"2022-06-14T19:47:06","slug":"program-transfer-for-graduate-students","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/graduateschool\/program-transfer-for-graduate-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Program Transfer for Graduate Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Different Departments<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>To transfer from one major department to another major department during a term in which a student is registered, the student is required to submit another application.\n<ul>\n<li>All pre-requisite courses must be completed,<\/li>\n<li>Standardized test scores (if required) must be submitted.<\/li>\n<li>New transcripts should be submitted, including the current JSU transcript.<\/li>\n<li>New letters of reference should be submitted directly to the department\/program.<\/li>\n<li>Departmental application (if required) must be submitted<\/li>\n<li>All application deadlines must be met.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once the application is complete, a transmittal with application material will be sent to the program for review by the Departmental admission committee.<\/p>\n<p>Once the Division of Graduate Studies receives the recommendation from the department and the College Dean or designee, applicants are notified by the Graduate Dean of the decision.<\/p>\n<h1>Same Department<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>To transfer from one program to another program located in the same academic department, the student is required to submit a \u201cProgram Transfer\u201d form. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">[<a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/graduateschool\/files\/2012\/08\/ProgTrans.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Obtain form as \u2018pdf\u2019 file<\/a><\/span>]<\/li>\n<li>Once the Division of Graduate Studies receives the recommendation from the department and the College Dean or designee, applicants are notified by the Graduate Dean of the decision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Different Departments To transfer from one major department to another major department during a term in which a student is registered, the student is required to submit another application.
