For Parents/Families

Welcome to the JSU Parents and Family Association!

Parents play a particularly important role in their son's or daughter's college experience, and in their successful transition to college life. To assist you in this endeavor, we invite you to join the Jackson State University Parents and Family Association.

The Parents and Family Association was revived and enhanced to help build sustaining relationships between parents, students and JSU by promoting effective working partnerships. Membership will provide networking opportunities, invitations to members-only events, opportunities to volunteer for various service projects with other parents at the university and in your communities, and e-parent newsletters with campus programming calendars and information on easing the transition of your students into the world of higher education.

Parents and families also may utilize our website at www.jsums.edu/studentlife. The website is a great resource that provides additional information to help your family, as well as your son or daughter. It also has additional contact information about support services available to our students. We strongly encourage you to utilize the website and to contact us via email at parents.families@jsums.edu or by phone at 601-979-1761 . Thank you for your involvement.
