The <\/span>Research<\/strong>\u00a0unit\u00a0<\/span>conducts research to improve the quality of life through basic and applied research.\u00a0 Additionally, the division houses the\u00a0<\/span>U. S. Census Information Center<\/a>\u00a0<\/a>(CIC)<\/span> and serves as an urban issues repository and clearinghouse.\u00a0 Other services provided include Policy analysis; Census data research and training; \u00a0Dissemination of research findings and program information via newsletters, an online peer-reviewed journal, research reports and presentations; Focus group facilitation services; Survey development, distribution, and analysis services; Statistical analysis services; Needs assessment services; Instructional programs, forums, conferences workshops; and Technical assistance, consultation, and general advisory services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Research Findings Dissemination<\/strong>
Findings from research conducted into problems that plague urban communities and are disseminated to a wider audience of policymakers, urban planners, service providers, and academic and lay community members via newsletters, an online peer-reviewed journal, research reports and presentations.<\/p>\n

Focus Group Facilitation<\/strong>\u00a0Services<\/strong>
Focus group facilitation is provided to collect information and provide reports regarding the opinions and knowledge of specific populations\u00a0that are important to policymakers, urban planners, service providers, and academic and lay community members.<\/p>\n
