\n\tPerformance: <\/strong>Auditions and basic musicianship tests are administered to prospective students prior to acceptance as music majors.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tStudent Recital: <\/strong>Performance required each semester except first semester.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tJury: <\/strong>Examination required for all majors at end of each semester of Applied Study.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tPiano Proficiency Examination: <\/strong>Required at conclusion of study in Applied Secondary Piano- MUS 215 for music and music education majors. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tJunior and Senior Recital: <\/strong>Required of all majors. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tPRAXIS I & II-<\/strong>Required for music education majors <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is recommended that the Praxis I examination be taken no later than the 4th semester of study. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tGRE- <\/strong>Required for music majors; not required for music education majors <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tDepartmental Grade Policy: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tStudents must earn a minimum grade of “C” in all major courses. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tPolicy that is implied but not written in the catalog: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
