{"id":8317,"date":"2020-12-15T23:14:51","date_gmt":"2020-12-15T23:14:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/new-jsuonline\/?page_id=8317"},"modified":"2021-03-18T19:27:57","modified_gmt":"2021-03-18T19:27:57","slug":"distance-learning-course-approval","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/new-jsuonline\/distance-learning-course-approval\/","title":{"rendered":"Distance Learning Course Approval"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">Proposals to offer existing courses via distance education must be submitted to JSU<em>Online<\/em>\u00a0for approval. \u00a0The proposal packet for each course must contain the <em>Course Proposal Form<\/em>, the <em>Course Action Form<\/em>, and a course <em>syllabus<\/em> that has been created using the template for online courses.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The department chair\u2019s signature on the <em>Course Proposal<\/em> and <em>Course Action<\/em> Forms indicates that the course has met the requirements set forth by the University\u2019s traditional course approval procedures (e.g., University Undergraduate or Graduate Curriculum Committees).
