{"id":8620,"date":"2021-03-22T16:12:07","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T16:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/new-jsuonline\/?page_id=8620"},"modified":"2021-03-22T16:19:59","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T16:19:59","slug":"887-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/new-jsuonline\/887-2\/","title":{"rendered":"College of Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/jsuonline\/files\/2013\/08\/AACSB.jpg\" alt=\"AACSB\" width=\"90\" height=\"90\" \/><\/h1>\n<p>Jackson State University business degree programs are accredited by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).\u00a0\u00a0 Accreditation means that JSU\u2019s business and accounting programs are characterized by quality, rigor, and relevance.<\/p>\n<h1>The Program Objective<\/h1>\n<p>The online general Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program enables working adults to earn a quality education while still maintaining their commitments to family and work.<\/p>\n<h1>The Degree<\/h1>\n<p>This accelerated 30-credit hour curriculum is delivered over five, eight-week terms during 12 months. Students are expected to complete two courses (six credit hours) during each eight-week term. \u00a0 Students who do not have an undergraduate foundation in business must complete a 33-credit hour curriculum*. \u00a0(See Admissions below.)<\/p>\n<h1>Admissions<\/h1>\n<p>The applicant must provide a complete application packet, to be considered for admission.\u00a0 The application packet includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two official transcripts from all prior colleges\/universities (Cumulative GPA of 2.50\/4.00 or above)<\/li>\n<li>A bachelor\u2019s degree* from an accredited college\/university.<\/li>\n<li>Official copy of GMAT or GRE scores (taken within the last five years)<\/li>\n<li>A composite score of 950 (Undergraduate GPA x 200 + GMAT=950).\u00a0 If a GRE score is submitted, it will be converted to a GMAT score in order to calculate the composite score.<\/li>\n<li>Official TOEFL scores (international applicants only)<\/li>\n<li>A professional experience resume<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>*A bachelor\u2019s degree in business is not required; however, students with a bachelor\u2019s degree in business generally have met the undergraduate prerequisites required for the MBA program.\u00a0\u00a0 Students without an undergraduate foundation in business must complete a 3 credit course, GB 500 (Business Principles), which serves as a comprehensive introduction to the MBA curriculum.<\/em><\/p>\n<h1>GMAT Prep Resources<\/h1>\n<p>There are numerous online, no cost, Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) resources to assist students with test preparation.\u00a0\u00a0 Following are links to some of those websites;
