Before Starting Orientation

Before you atend orientation at JSU, students should be sure to:

1.  Indicate your Intent to Enroll

2. Send immunization records to the health center www.jsums.edu/healthservices 

3. Apply for housing, if needed www.jsums.edu/housing

4. Activate your Net ID:

• Go to www.jsums.edu
• At the top of the webpage, click P.A.W.S.
• Click “Enter Secure Area (JSU PAWS)”
• Enter Jnumber (found on admissions letter ex:J00000000) and Pin
• Click “Activate Net ID, Change NetID Password”

Note: Your NetID password must be at least 7 characters long and include a capital letter and symbol. Example: Pa$$word

5. Access your student email

• Go to www.jsums.edu
• At the top of the webpage, click “Email’
• Click “Student Login”
• Type your Jnumber@students.jsums.edu for the Login ID
• If this is your first time logging in, your password is your birthdate (MMDDYYYY, ex: 04012016)

6. Submit Final “Official” Transcript

Final transcripts can be sent to transcripts@jsums.edu, via parchment services and eScrip-Safe
