Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs

Dr. Alisa Mosely serves as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Jackson State University. Dr. Mosley previously served as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at Tennessee State University (TSU). Her academic career also includes an appointment as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at TSU. Prior to TSU, she served in numerous capacities at Jackson State University as a faculty member in the College of Business, director of the Center for University Scholars, and executive director for Academic Quality.

She was also president of the Faculty Senate. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from Florida A&M University and a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
