Ms. Diane Gadley defended her doctoral dissertation (title:
The Impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on Diabetic Mortality among People of Color: A Comparative Analysis of Mississippi and Louisiana) on October 21, 2022.
Between the two neighboring states in the South, Louisiana adopted its Medicaid expansion in 2016, while the State of Mississippi has not done so.
Professor Johnny Gilleylen served as the committee chair and the dissertation advisor. Professors Gloria Billingsley, Jae-Young Ko, Chester Robinson, and Irish Patrick-Williams (external member) served as the committee members.
