Kline Award for the best master&rsquo;s student paper, among about six hundred attendees.&nbsp; The title of his paper was &lsquo;A comparative growth assessment of the green economy of five cities and policy recommendations in the United States (Faculty Advisor: Dr. Jae-Young Ko).<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe other presentations are from Ms. Jermesha Haywood (MPA: Social media&rsquo;s impact on local nonprofit organizational management: A plan for Mississippi), Ms. Christina Spann (MPA: The impact of sex education on teenagers), Ms. Cassandra Hawkins Wilson (PhD: Children&rsquo;s access to mental health care in Mississippi), Mr. Alan Branson (PhD: An assessment of payday lending practices in the metro-Jackson area, Mississippi, and potential policy responses), and Dr. Jae-Young Ko (faculty: Policy dimension of employing ecosystem services for sustainable community: a case study of wetland assimilation of municipal wastewater using natural wetlands).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; A group of students and faculty members at Public Policy and Administration Program attended the Southeastern Conference of Public Administration (SECOPA) 2014, Atlanta, Georgia, from September 17 to 20, 2014.&nbsp; During the conference, Mr. James Thompson- a MPA student- was chosen as the recipient of the prestigious Robert L.
