Shonda Lawrence, interim chair, Graduate Social Work Programs and&nbsp;SBIRT Principal Investigator; Theresia Ratliff, MSW Field Director;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Dorothy Anderson, consultant;&nbsp;and Ms. Ashanti Dampier, MSW student and SBIRT graduate assistant;&nbsp;were&nbsp;trainers for the workshop.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe training is designed to enhance attendees&#039; knowledge of SBIRT. Participants were field instructors&nbsp;for Master of Social Work students&#039; field experiences.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t(Pictured standing) Dr. Dorothy Anderson discussed&nbsp;screening, referral to treatment and follow-up, and motivational interviewing strategies.&nbsp;Other topics covered brief intervention and post test\/evaluation simulation.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span>Funding was provided by the Conrad N.
