She holds a a PhD in Fine arts with concentrations in Acting\/Directing and Arts Administration from Texas Tech University (Texas), a M.A. in Theatre Arts from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), and a B.A. in Music\/Vocal Performance from Florida Memorial University (Miami).&nbsp; She continues to Costume Design and supervise promotions and marketing for all the department&rsquo;s mainstage shows at JSU. She teaches courses in Acting, Directing, Period Styles, Theatre History, Dramatic Criticism and Costume Design.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHer most recent directing projects include:&nbsp;<em><span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px;border: 0px;font-style: inherit;font-variant: inherit;font-weight: inherit;font-size: inherit;line-height: inherit;font-family: inherit;vertical-align: baseline;background: none\">Karma, Harlem Renaissance<\/span><\/em>, and&nbsp;<em><span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px;border: 0px;font-style: inherit;font-variant: inherit;font-weight: inherit;font-size: inherit;line-height: inherit;font-family: inherit;vertical-align: baseline;background: none\">Damn Yankees<\/span><\/em>. Her favorite acting roles include&nbsp;<em><span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px;border: 0px;font-style: inherit;font-variant: inherit;font-weight: inherit;font-size: inherit;line-height: inherit;font-family: inherit;vertical-align: baseline;background: none\">Into the Woods, My Sister in This House, The Dairy of Anne Frank, Amen Corner, Little Shop of Horrors, Vagina Monologues<\/span><\/em>&nbsp;and her one-woman show,&nbsp;<em><span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px;border: 0px;font-style: inherit;font-variant: inherit;font-weight: inherit;font-size: inherit;line-height: inherit;font-family: inherit;vertical-align: baseline;background: none\">I Used to Sing for my Mother\/Hoping She Would Love Me\/She Bought Me A Mango Tree Instead<\/span><\/em>. She will also be directing <em>The Wiz<\/em>&nbsp;during the Fall 2016 semester at JSU.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHer main fields of interest are Performance Theory, Directing, Advocacy for the Arts, Feminist Theory, Identity and Gender roles in America, and the African Diaspora, and Theatre for social change.
