You&#8217;re in the &#8220;write&#8221; place!<\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/wrightcenter\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Richard Wright Center<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (RWC), <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jsums.edu\/wrightcenter\/our-tutors\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">undergraduate and graduate peer tutors<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> will talk with you about your writing, give feedback, and answer your questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Talking with a tutor about your writing, speaking, or research project can help you develop your ideas, understand your readers&#8217; expectations, and build your confidence as a writer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4>Meet with a writing tutor to discuss the following:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">planning and organizing your work on a project or assignment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">overcoming writer\u2019s block<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">revising and editing strategies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">organization and supporting evidence<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">resources and reference materials<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">creating visual aids for presentations<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">using documentation styles (e.g., MLA, APA, Chicago)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0and more . . .<\/b><\/h5>\n<h4>To work one-on-one with a tutor, <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/jsums.mywconline.com\/\">make an online appointment<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300\"><em>Note: A<\/em>ll appointments are conducted virtually until further notice.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Try to make your appointment for at least 2 days before the paper is due, so you have time afterwards to think through your ideas and make important changes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have your assignment sheet with you, if you have one.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Arrive with a question, notes, or a draft. If you don\u2019t have one, that is okay. Note: if you have a 15-page paper, please let us know about particular issues you would like to focus on in the session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Be present mentally.
