Effective July 1, 2013, all employees including students will be paid semi-monthly on the 15^th and the last day of each month for a total of 24 pays each year.  The first semi-monthly payment will be July 15^th.

This adjustment in pay cycle will allow the university to move from multiple pay periods and multiple pay types (faculty, monthly staff, students, and hourly staff) to a consolidated approach to payroll.  Payroll consolidation offers the opportunity to increase functionality and reduce administrative costs.

The Office of Payroll and The Division of Human Resources hosted several informational sessions regarding this change in the months of May and June. A link to the presentation if you need to review again or was unable to attend an information session can be found below.

We also want to remind all employees to make any necessary arrangements with banks and creditors especially for those who have become accustomed to paying bills at the first of the month.  You may find it necessary to adjust due dates and automatic bill-pay arrangements as a result of the University’s conversion to a semi-monthly payroll.

Also below is a calendar with the pay dates for the remainder of the year and a schedule of when transactions must be submitted to be effective on 15^th or last day of the month for review.
