BIOGRAPHY – Cecil Hill, PhD
Cecil Hill is an associate professor of accounting at Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. His research has primarily been in the area of auditor independence and accounting education. In 2007 he was named Researcher of the Year in the College of Business. Additionally, he serves as a board member of a number of nonprofit organizations and he serves on the promotion and tenure committee within JSU’s College of Business.
Dr. Hill currently serves as a Board of Trustee of the Public Employees Retirements Systems (PERS) of Mississippi (MS), as the Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) employees’ representative. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), American Accounting Associate (AAA), Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Institute, and Rotary Club International. He has been a certified public accountant (CPA) for over 28 years
