JSU's Laboratory School Partnership Expansion
Jackson State University and Blackburn Laboratory Middle School Partner with Southeastern Louisiana University Laboratory School
Members from the Jackson State University faculty and staff as well as members from the Blackburn Laboratory Middle School faculty traveled to Hammond, Louisiana to visit the Southeastern Louisiana Laboratory School. The trip was an enormous success and the members from the Blackburn Collaborative team were able to bring back a plethora of ideas shared with us by Mrs. Patricia Williams, the Principal/Director of the Southeastern Louisiana Laboratory School. Mrs. Patricia Williams also stated that she would be more than happy to develop a working partnership with Jackson State University and the Blackburn Laboratory Middle School. Future site visits and professional development activities are being planned between the two partnering universities to help Jackson State University and Blackburn Laboratory Middle School in its efforts to become the premiere laboratory school in the state of Mississippi.
