How has this Ph.D. helped your career? A doctoral degree opens many doors, not only in higher education but in the public and private sector. It provided me with a level of respect at the state and national level while serving as Executive Director of the Mississippi Nurses Association. It has also enabled me to move into my current position as Executive Search Consultant for Greenwood/Asher & Associates handling higher education and health care searches nationally and internationally.
