The 2024 Love Yourself Safety and Health Fair
You’re Invited to the 2024 “Love Yourself” Safety and Health Fair Hosted by Jackson State University Interdisciplinary Alcohol and Drug Studies Center
Jackson, Mississippi – The College of Liberal Arts, Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Jackson State University is thrilled to extend a warm invitation to you and your organization to attend the highly anticipated 2024 “Love Yourself” Safety and Health Fair. Funded by the Mississippi Office of Highway Safety, the JSU Interdisciplinary Alcohol and Drug Studies Center is excited to host this exciting event on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:30pm, at the Terry L Woodard Ballroom, located on the third floor of the JSU Student Center on the campus of Jackson State University.
The “Love Yourself” Safety and Health Fair promises to be an engaging and informative event, bringing together industry experts, organizations, vendors, and community members to promote safety driving practices and well-being. From 11:00am to 12:00 noon, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, dynamic demonstrations, and insightful presentations.
From 12:00pm to 1:30pm, the event will culminate with a community safe driving Town Hall. According to a recent study conducted by Market Watch, Mississippi had the highest rate of car crash fatalities in the country in 2021, coming in at 26.2 deaths per 100,000 people. Community experts from the Mississippi Office of Highway Safety, Mississippi Department of Transportation, Jackson State University, and others will share valuable information on how to decrease the number of fatalities on Mississippi highways.
In addition to the wealth of knowledge and resources available at the fair, we are delighted to offer attendees complimentary food, exciting door prizes, and the chance to win a $25 gift card. This event provides a unique platform for individuals and organizations to come together, learn from one another, and celebrate the importance of safe driving practices, self-care, and personal well-being.
