During the regional Poetry Out Loud competition, high school students recite poetry and compete to move on to the national level. The event is sponsored by the MS Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Poetry Foundation.
The competition will take place in the Jackson State University Student Center Theatre and is free and open to the public.
