2022 Spring JSU Graduate Commencement

The JSU 2022 Spring Graduate Commencement was held on April 29, 2022. Dept. of Public Policy & Administration has produced five new Ph. D.s and four new MPPA degree holders:

The new Ph.D. holders are as follows:

Dr. Ibrahim Alhussayen (title: The impact of organizational culture on job performance: A study of the relationship between employees’ performance and organizational culture at the Saudi Post in accomplishing Saudi Vision 2030; Advisor: Professor Johnny Gilleylen).

Dr. Courtlandt Fouche (Dissertation title: A Comparative Analysis of the Impact of Five Categories of State Expanded Medicaid Spending on Diabetes, Heart Disease and Stroke among Blacks and Whites in Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi from 2010-2019; Advisor: Professor Gloria Billingsley)

Dr. Eric D. Griffith (Dissertation title: A Comparative Analysis of Municipal Income Tax in Birmingham, Louisville, and St. Louis: A Case Study of Possible Implementation in Jackson, MS; Advisor: Professor Johnny Gilleylen)

Dr. Aundria D. Range (Dissertation title: An Impact Analysis of the ACA on Chronic Health Conditions Among Young and Middle-Aged African Americans, 2007-2020; Advisor: Professor Johnny Gilleylen)

Dr. Adrieme Walker (Dissertation topic: An examination of the causes and impact of women’s underrepresentation and performance in the United States’ legislatures on public policies related to women and family issues; Advisor: Professor Ester Stokes).

The new MPPA (Master in Public Policy and Administration) degree holders are Terrenell T. Galtney, Darius D. Johnson, Daphne M. Moore, and Sonyeka Tarrio.
