We are excited to announce that the campus tour reservation link is officially LIVE and now accepting tour requests! We look forward to welcoming prospective students, families, schools, and community partners to explore the vibrant culture, rich traditions, and academic excellence of Jackson State University.

Official Campus Tour Season

JSU’s official campus tour season runs March through July each year. During this time, visitors can enjoy guided walking tours led by our recruitment team and student ambassadors, offering an engaging look at academics, student life, and the heart of Tiger Nation.

Campus Tour Schedule

Campus tours will be conducted on the following schedule:

• Monday through Thursday

  • Individual/Family Tours: 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

  • Group Tours: 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

• Select Fridays and Saturdays

  • 10:00 a.m. only

Availability varies by date and is reflected in real time within the scheduling system.

Tour Experience & Length

Walking tours last at least 90 minutes and include a brief campus overview along with a question-and-answer session led by a recruiter and/or student ambassador. If your group requires a tour shorter than 90 minutes, please let us know in advance so we can make appropriate accommodations.

Important Reservation Guidelines

To ensure a smooth and fair scheduling process, please review the following carefully before reserving:

• Date Availability: If a date is not listed as available, it is not an open tour date due to a campus closure, special event, or prior commitment.

• One Reservation Only: Please do not reserve multiple dates. Reserving more than one date may prevent other visitors from scheduling and will result in your reservations being automatically canceled.

• Select the Correct Form: Be sure to reserve under the appropriate form (Individual/Family or Group). Reservations submitted under the incorrect form will be automatically canceled.

• Request vs. Confirmation: All reservations are requests only. Please allow 24–48 business hours for review. Your tour is not confirmed until you receive a tour confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your tour has not been confirmed.

• Athletics & Band Meetings: We do not schedule meetings on behalf of Athletics or the Sonic Boom of the South. If you wish to meet with either program, please contact them directly before reserving your tour to confirm availability. Meetings should be scheduled before or after your campus tour, as tour guides cannot remain with your group during meetings.
