Pervis Parker

Pervis Parker, General Manager of JSU-TV has over 20 years of creative experience in multimedia brand creation, marketing, film and television platforms.  Parker has served as the Head of Marketing and an executive officer for a $300 million broadband company.  He has also formerly served as the General Manager and Chief Creative Officer for WLOO’s MY35 television station owned by the Historical HBCU, Tougaloo College.

Parker is known for being one of the best strategic minds in the communications industry in creating original programming, developing brands, and growing traditional/nontraditional revenue streams.  Oftentimes, he has been challenged to take companies’ limited resources to accomplish these extraordinary feats. He has created such television brands as MySports, Viewpoint, Coaches Corner, and the award-winning youth program, I.M.A.G.E.

A graduate of the University of Mississippi, the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, and the prestigious Broadcast Leadership Training Class, he is also a nationally award-winning content and creative developer for television. He has received recognition by the FCC, Broadcast Cable, and Wall Street Journal for his leadership in television management and creative projects.
