Shannon Tatum serves as the Media Manager for Student Publications at Jackson State University and supervises the student staff that produce the award-winning Blue & White Flash campus newspaper and the eXperience Magazine. In these capacities she is responsible for guiding the editorial process of the student staff with production of both publications from the beginning stages to the final product is sent to the printer or posted online. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mass Communication from Jackson State University and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), the College Media Association and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She has been an employee of JSU for over 17 years.
