CPT Jackson enlisted into HHC, 223rd Engineer Battalion, on August 2, 2000, as a Heavy Equipment Repairman (62B). CPT Jackson commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Jackson State University in May 2009. MILITARY AND CIVILIAN EDUCATION: CPT Jackson earned an Associates of Arts Degree from Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS (2007), Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Jackson State University, Jackson, MS (2009) and Masters of Arts Degree from Liberty University, Lynchburg VA (2019). He is also a graduate of the Anti-terrorism Officer Basic Course (2019), Army National Guard Strength Manager Course (2019), Human Resources Management Qualification Course (2017), Ft. Jackson, SC Battalion Supply Course (2015), North Little Rock, AR, Ordnance Captain Career Course (2013) and Ordnance Officer Basic (2010) Course, Ft. Lee VA, Primary Leadership Development Course (2003).

ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS: After commissioning CPT Jackson’s first assignment was the Maintenance Platoon Leader, Company E (-) 106th BSB, Brookhaven, MS in May 2009. Two months later, CPT Jackson transitioned to the 106th Support Battalion (rear detachment) for twenty-four months. In September 2011, CPT Jackson was deployed with the 223rd ENG BN, where he served as the Maintenance Control Officer for seventeen months. After deployment, CPT Jackson transitioned to Detachment 1 CO E 106th as the Maintenance Platoon Leader. May 21, 2013, CPT Jackson was selected to be the Company Commander of CO E (-) 106th BSB through May 25, 2015. CPT Jackson served as the 298th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) BN S-4 from May 2015- September 2018. CPT Jackson just finished serving as a Recruiting and Retention Officer for the Mississippi Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion from September 18- 1 June 2020. Currently, CPT Jackson serves as an Assistant Professor of Military Science.

CPT Jackson currently resides in Pearl, MS, with his wife Alanda, daughters Kearsten and Atley.
