Biography

Jennifer Steele is the Assistant Dean of the College of Business at Jackson State University, where she spearheads transformative initiatives that drive student success, strategic partnerships, and community impact. With a dynamic career spanning in supply chain management, corporate sales and marketing, and higher education, Steele has earned recognition for designing and leading innovative programs that elevate student retention, career readiness, business development and professional growth.

In her role, Ms. Steele has been instrumental in advancing the College of Business through high-impact corporate collaborations, alumni engagement, and the launch of signature initiatives such as the Supply Chain Management Center of Excellence, data analytics and entrepreneurship programs, and comprehensive financial literacy campaigns. Her work places strong emphasis on experiential learning, mentorship, and building powerful connections with Fortune 500 companies, community organizations, and national associations.

Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Public Administration at Jackson State, Ms. Steele’s research focuses on addressing health disparities and advancing urban policy solutions. Beyond the university, she serves on nonprofit boards and champions initiatives that empower underserved communities. Passionate about cultivating future business leaders, she is dedicated to positioning the College of Business as a premier hub for innovation, leadership, and opportunity.
