Biography

Dr. Sadia Yaqub Khan is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Jackson State University, where she teaches courses including Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Digital Marketing, and International Marketing. She has advised the American Marketing Association JSU Chapter and has played a leadership role in the J.R. Smith Business Research Conference. Dr. Khan previously served as Marketing Program Director and Assistant Professor at Mercyhurst University and held faculty positions at The College of Saint Rose.

She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing and Strategy from Cardiff University, where her dissertation examined anti-consumption and materialism through a value orientation perspective, developing a typology of consumers balancing sustainability, authenticity, and well-being. In July 2024, Dr. Khan participated in the Visiting Professor Program organized by the Association of National Advertisers Educational Foundation (AEF), gaining industry insights to integrate into her teaching and research.

Dr. Khan’s scholarship now explores how sustainable consumption policies, social media influence, environmental knowledge, and promotional efforts shape consumer behavior. Her work appears in journals such as Cleaner and Responsible Consumption and the Pakistan Journal of Commerce and Social Sciences, and she frequently presents at leading academic conferences.

Dedicated to bridging theory and practice, Dr. Khan integrates experiential learning into her courses, guiding students to apply marketing concepts in real-world contexts. She is passionate about mentoring diverse student populations and preparing the next generation of marketing professionals for leadership in an evolving global marketplace.
