Development, Internship, and Scholarships Opportunities

The College of Education offers a variety of scholarships and fellowships designed to help you and your family pay for university. Scholarships and grants are types of gift aid that do not have to be repaid. They may take the form of university scholarships, federal or state grants, or outside scholarships.

2026 Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF)

We are excited to share that the 2026 Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Teacher Quality & Retention Program (TQRP) application is now open and will be accepted January 22 through February 22, 2026.

Federal Pell Grant

Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor’s, graduate, or professional degree. 

MTAG- MS Tuition Assistance Grant

Created by the Mississippi Legislature, this program is designed to provide financial assistance to Mississippi residents attending state approved public and private not-for-profit two-year and four-year eligible colleges and universities. The primary objective of MTAG is to provide educational opportunities for students who wish to pursue postsecondary education in the state and do not already benefit from federal need-based aid.

Teaching Tuesday 2026 Schedule

“Teaching Tuesday” is a regular collaborative learning and professional growth event series hosted by the college to bring students, educators, and community partners together.
