Welcome to Tamara Young, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Access
The Office of Academic and Student Affairs is pleased to welcome Tamara L. Young as the new associate vice president of enrollment management and student access.
Young brings more than 20 years of progressive experience leading strategic enrollment management, student access and retention initiatives. Most recently, she served as director of enrollment management at American Baptist College, where she developed the institution’s first comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan, increasing new‑student enrollment by 64% and improving retention by 85%. She is recognized for her ability to build integrated enrollment ecosystems; modernize processes through CRM and SIS integration; develop multiyear enrollment strategies aligned with institutional mission; and use data analytics to forecast trends and strengthen student success outcomes.
Her leadership experience also includes strengthening K‑12 partnerships, expanding dual‑enrollment pathways, enhancing adult‑learner recruitment and optimizing financial aid strategy and compliance.
In her new role, Young will provide executive leadership for enrollment management strategy, student access initiatives, recruitment operations and cross‑functional collaboration to support the full student lifecycle — from prospect to completion.
She is currently an executive Ph.D. candidate in urban higher education at Jackson State University.
