JSUAdvance Reception and Women’s History Month Celebration

A reception was held to announce JSUAdvance to the University community on March 29, 2011. There were over one hundred in attendance at the very successful reception.  Those attending included male and female faculty, administrators, and other staff.  Others from the general community were also in attendance. The reception was held in observance of Women’s History month, and Dr. Carolyn Meyers, President and Co-PI of JSUAdvance, was the honoree. Dr. ConSandra McNe9l, Co-PI served as the Mistress of Ceremony; Dr. Mark Hardy, Co-PI and Provost of Academic Affairs did the; Dr. Evelyn Leggette, Dean of Division of Undergraduate Studies, gave the greetings; and Dr. Moore gave an overview of JSUAdvance.  Dr. Meyers spoke of the importance of bringing a grant as significant as ADVANCE to JSU, and how excited she is to be a part of such an endeavor.
