
Carol J. Woodson is the Executive Director of the Events & Visitor Services Department. She has over thirty years of exemplary management experience in the event and hospitality industries. She has studied at Hinds Community College and Jackson State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She has also received certifications as a Festival and Event Associate from Wheeling, West Virginia and Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University. Carol’s deep-rooted passion for all things event and hospitality-related, has led her to serve as the President of the Metro Jackson Attractions Association. Additionally, she is a proud graduate of the illustrious 2015 class of Leadership Greater Jackson. She will receive several awards and recognitions for her work in this industry including the City of Jackson’s Convention and Visitors Bureau Hometown Hero award.
