The Woodwind Ensemble is one of Jackson State University Band programs’ many performing ensembles.
The ensemble consists of music education and music technology majors as well as students majoring in
various disciplines throughout the University.
The Woodwind Ensemble performs a wide range of orchestral transcriptions and original woodwind
choir compositions representing various musical styles and periods. Emphasis, however, is placed on
standard literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
