Professor Ester Stokes and Professor Jae-Young Ko are elected to serve as Secretary and Councilman respectively, for the Mississippi Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), 2018-2019. In Mississippi, public policy (Public Administration) programs are available at University of Mississippi, Mississippi State University, Mississippi Valley State University, Belhaven University, and Jackson State University. Among them, only Mississippi State and JSU have offered the NASPAA accredited MPA programs. The two professors' appointments in the ASPA Mississippi Chapter show clearly the JSU's leading role in the Public Policy program in State.
