Attorney Carlyn Hicks, a doctoral student at the JSU Dept. of Public Policy & Administration (PPAD), is lately appointed as a special judge for Hinds Co. Court by Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice Mike Randolph.
Ms. Hicks has served as director of the Mission First Legal Aid Office, which is a pro bono initiative of Mississippi College School of Law. In addition, she has been a clinical adjunct professor at the MC School of Law Child Welfare and Family Justice Clinic since 2015.
