🎓 Faculty Fellows Program (2025–2026)
Building a Teaching Collaboratory for Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact
The Faculty Teaching Fellows Program at Jackson State University is a yearlong initiative that brings together faculty across disciplines to share ideas, experiment with new teaching practices, and support one another in elevating student learning.
This year’s program centers on the creation of a Teaching Collaboratory (collaboration+laboratory)—a dynamic, peer-driven space where Fellows work together to refine their own pedagogy and support colleagues through Teaching Partnerships. These partnerships are designed to foster mutual growth, creativity, and classroom experimentation without the formality of traditional mentoring.
Fellows will:
- Design and lead two Teaching and Learning workshops during the academic year
- Engage in Teaching Partnerships with 2–3 colleagues to support inclusive, student-centered innovation
- Integrate generative AI tools and inclusive practices into their own teaching and mentoring
- Participate in a virtual summer institute and monthly check-ins through April 2026
Through this work, Faculty Fellows help build a culture of instructional excellence at JSU—one rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and care.
