Is the University closed?

No. The university remains open and operational with appropriate measures to protect the health of our campus community. Effective  immediately,  JSU will  begin transitioning  to  online or alternative  instruction  for all classes,  to the  greatest  extent  possible. Additionally,  students  are  asked not to immediately return to campus and to meet academic requirements remotely until further notice; for many students, this may mean moving home. Students must do what is best for them. Students who need to remain on campus will also receive instruction remotely.  Our goal is to have this transition complete by the time classes resume on March 23.
