TRIO Student Support Services encourages student engagement and the active participation of its students in helping the program achieve its goals and objectives. The TRIO SSS Ambassador Program selects student leaders who are capable of making positive impacts amongst program scholars and the campus community. TRIO SSS Ambassadors will also share information about TRIO SSS with other campus organizations, departments, clubs, and high school seniors with intentions to enroll at JSU.

Must be a full-time enrolled student at Jackson State University
Must have minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50
Must be in good standing with the university
Must be an active participant in the program for at least one year
Must be able to attend scheduled meetings and events when required
Must have great communication and social skills
Must be a team player and passionate about the mission of the program
Must have a genuine love and respect for TRIO SSS and the goal of the program
Must be culturally respectful and sensitive to the needs of others
Must be willing to commit to the ambassador program for at least one (1) academic year (fall and spring)
