Workshop: Successfully Managing Your Grant

Designed for new and aspiring principal investigators, this workshop demonstrates how to successfully set-up and manage all aspects of federal and foundation grants.  Successful grant managers and personnel from Grants and Contracts will address the following topics:

  • *  Organizational requirements for solid grant management
  • *  Roles and responsibilities of members of a grant management team
  • *  Pre-award activities that establish solid foundations for your grant
  • *  Essential post-award functions involved in start-up, operation and closeout
  • *  Steps to take to ensure compliance with funder requirements (including policies and circulars)
  • *  Critical aspects of managing grant finances
  • *  Procurement and disposition of property
  • * Determination and management of indirect costs
