The Richard and Hursie D. Sullivan Endowed Scholarship Fund

Richard_Hursie2In December 2013, Richard H. Sullivan and his wife, JSU alumna Hursie Davis-Sullivan, created the Richard and Hursie D. Sullivan Endowed Scholarship Fund in the amount of $50,000 to support students in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Jackson State University. The endowment will increase to $100,000 through the Jackson State University Title III Matching Gift program.

JSU s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is one of the leading producers of African Americans with Ph.D.s in chemistry in the nation. Dr. Sullivan's commitment to teaching, scholarship and service during his years at JSU has made a significant impact on this program. Your support to the Sullivan Endowed Fund will continue this legacy. We know our students face many academic challenges that accompany a rigorous, world-class education. Scholarships assist students as they conduct research in classroom settings, laboratories, and study sessions in pursuit of an education that will prepare them for success in today's global workforce.

Without your support, scholarships for many talented and deserving students would simply not be available. Make your commitment today! Please support and commit your investment to the Sullivan Endowed Scholarship Fund.
