University Communications uses print, broadcast, multimedia, social media and marketing channels to convey clear and consistent communication about the university’s achievements and the JSU experience. University Communications also supports academic and administrative departments in such areas as internal communications, event promotion, media relations, graphic design, photography, videography and social media.

If you have a news item you believe will be of interest to the general public or the news media, please send the details and any related photos to Jean Gordon Cook at email@example.com or call her at 601-979-1571. Your story may appear on the JSU news site, be shared via social media, be developed for a press release and/or appear in a JSU publication.
To submit news to the JSU Today email newsletter, send your information to firstname.lastname@example.org according to the format outlined here. JSU Today is distributed to students, staff and faculty with a valid JSU email address. If you do not receive JSU Today, contact JSU's email administrator at email@example.com.

The JSU emergency alert system enables emergency response team members to distribute messages to students, faculty, and staff via text, phone and email during times of inclement weather, campus closures, campus safety concerns or other emergencies.
