The JSU Emergency System collects your information for campus emergencies. Please keep the contact information accurate as this will impact JSU’s ability to contact you during a campus emergency.

Directions for signing up for emergency notifications:

  • Go to Jackson State University‚Äôs Homepage (
  • Enter Secure Area (JSU PAWS)
  • Enter your user ID and PIN
  • Click on Personal Information tab
  • Click on JSU Emergency System Information Update
  • Enter the phone number that you want the call to go to first (the number that you can be reached by most often.)
  • Then click the continue tab on the following screens to enter your other method of delivery in the order you would want to receive the messages by priority. (Text messages, emails or voice messages. You can enter three phone numbers and two emails.)

You can update your information also on under the personal information tab also. Click on View JSU Emergency System Information
