Study History, Increase Your Marketability!

Employment opportunities for History majors are endless.. Even students in other disciplines (e.g., mass communication, education, political science, biology, etc.) study history to increase their marketability in America’s evolving workplaces.  By obtaining a knowledgeable background of significant historical and cultural events, graduates can enter into the workforce with a better understanding and expectations of their positions and the agencies they work for. For example, historians can serve at the federal, state and local government levels as analysts, researchers, advisors, and diplomats. Other opportunities are found at museums, archives, and historical societies.
