Admission Requirements

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission to Teacher Education:

Under to the COVID-19 emergency waiver, test requirements for entry to traditional undergraduate teacher preparation programs has suspended (waived) through December 31, 2021. 

  • Applicants must have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on core curriculum coursework and a cumulative overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.75.

 

Admission to Student Teaching:

Under to the COVID-19 emergency waiver, test requirements for entry to traditional undergraduate teacher preparation programs has suspended (waived) through December 31, 2021. 

  • Applicants must be admitted to Teacher Education
  • Applicants must have a cumulative overall grade point average of (GPA) of 2.75.
  • Applicants must complete and provide proof of the following:
    • Membership to the Mississippi Association of Educators
    • Background Check
