Call Me Mister:  Governor's Mansion Reception

Children at the Center: A Journey through Conversation, Committments and Connections was the title used during a Mississippi celebration recognizing young males of color.  The fifteen young men of the JSU Call Me MISTER program served as co-presenters with Dr. Howard Stevenson of Penn State University in a symposium at the Jackson Marriott discussing racial stress in schools.  The Misters and other invited guest later participated in a reception held at the home of Governor and Mrs. Phil Bryant in the MS Governor's Mansion.  The celebration included sharing the good news of effective Kellogg funded programs to the Board of Trustees and the current President and CEO of the Kellogg Foundation. Mrs. La June Montgomery Tabron, a native Mississippian.
