Tomaz Cunningham joined the JSU faculty in August 2013. His research focuses on the construction of otherness in the French literary imagination. He is specifically interested in the various representations of race and gender in French Romanticism and the relationship between the advent of negritude and the black American writers of the Harlem Renaissance.
