Jackson State University School of Social Work (JSUSSW) is proud to present FREE Screening Brief Intervention Referral Training (SBIRT) for summer/fall 2017!  This project is designed to train primarily social work and psychology (graduate and undergraduate) students; however, this training is open to ALL students in health/mental health related fields (i.e., nursing, counseling, etc.). Additionally, we want to train health/mental health professionals who represent a wide array of disciplines.  The goal of this training is to impart skills necessary to provide screening, brief intervention, motivational interviewing, and referral to treatment to clients who are at risk for a substance abuse disorder (SUD). After completion of this training, each participant will receive a certificate of completion and FREE CEUs.  Refreshments provided.
