The Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology operates the Central Mississippi Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic to facilitate the clinical education of students in speech-language pathology, facilitate faculty-student research, and to provide services to person with speech, language, cognitive, swallowing and/or hearing disorders in Jackson and the surrounding counties.

Program Overview

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology offers a program leading to the Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.  Students enrolled in this program are prepared for entry into graduate programs in speech-language pathology, audiology, and speech-hearing science or other areas.

**The Post-Baccalaureate program is offered for students who have completed an undergraduate degree that is not in speech language pathology, communicative disorders, or speech & hearing sciences and are interested in completing the prerequisites necessary to apply for a Master’s degree program in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Jackson State University.
