Earth System Science is an exciting, interdisciplinary field that examines the Earth, atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, and space as interconnected systems. Changes in one part of the Earth can have far-reaching effects on the entire system. Our program is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the Earth as a unified and dynamic system.

By pursuing a degree in Earth System Science, you will join a diverse community of scientists and professionals, including geologists, meteorologists, oceanographers, hydrologists, environmental scientists, public health scientists, educators, and policy makers. Together, we confront critical environmental issues facing society and work to protect our planet for future generations.
