The JSU 2020 Fall (Virtual) Commencement was held on December 11, 2020. The Dept. of Public Policy and Administration (PPAD) has produced four new PhDs and one new MPPA graduates. The four new PhDs are Dr. Pamela Confer (Dissertation: An Integrative Review of Cross-Cultural Literacy in Public Policy and Its Implications for Economic Development), Dr. Angela D. Johnson (Dissertation: A Comparative Analysis of County Health Outcomes and the Prevalence of Public Charities in Mississippi (2010-2018)), Dr. Anna Eatmon-Johnson (Dissertation: Evaluating the Impact of the Universal Motorcycle Helmet Laws on Riders’ Fatalities), and Dr. Lawren M. Long (Dissertation: Evaluating the Impacts of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) on Childhood Obesity). Professor Johnny Gilleylen has served as their dissertation adviser. Also, Ms. Kyeisha T. Dennis has obtained her Master’s Degree.
