SVA at JSU Purpose
The purpose of the Student Veterans of America (SVA) Chapter at Jackson State University is to support, advocate for, and enhance the academic, professional, and social success of student veterans, active-duty service members, National Guard, Reservists, and military-connected students. This chapter seeks to foster a supportive community that assists members in successfully transitioning to campus life while promoting leadership, service, and engagement within the university and surrounding communities.
Membership Eligibility
- Membership Eligibility
- Membership is open to veterans, active-duty service members, National Guard/Reservists, ROTC cadets, and military dependents or spouses.
- Academic Standard
- Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.8 to remain in good standing with the organization. Failure to maintain minimum academic standards is grounds for non-voluntary removal.

Through campus events and community service, we offer our members meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills, grow personally and professionally, and build a strong network on campus.
