Welcome to the Department of Business Administration! Our AACSB accredited undergraduate degree programs include Business Administration, Economics, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. Non-business majors across campus can also choose a Business Administration and Marketing minor. All majors across campus can also choose a Economics minor.  In addition, we offer a Master of Business Administration degree and a Ph.D. in Business Administration, with concentrations in Management, Economics, and Accounting.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

OUR PROGRAM

The Business Administration program combines courses in management, marketing, economics, finance, and business law, offering students a broad knowledge of the functional areas of a company and how they connect to one another. These topics are especially beneficial for students with small business ownership plans and for students who want to have an administrative career in financial organizations.

Economics – Our economics degree is a specialized academic program that focuses on the study of how societies allocate resources to meet their needs and wants. This degree typically takes four years to complete and covers a wide range of topics related to economic systems, policies, and trends. The curriculum for an economics degree includes courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and economic history. Students also take courses in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis to develop the analytical and quantitative skills needed to understand and analyze economic phenomena.

Business Administration – Our business administration degree is a specialized academic program that provides students with a broad understanding of the principles and practices of business management. The degree typically takes four years to complete and covers a wide range of topics related to business operations, strategy, finance, and marketing.The curriculum for a business administration degree includes courses in accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, and organizational behavior. Students also take courses in economics, statistics, and business law to gain a better understanding of the broader business environment.

Management -Our business management degree is a specialized academic program that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage and lead businesses. The degree typically takes four years to complete and covers a wide range of topics related to business operations, strategy, leadership, and finance. The curriculum for a business management degree includes courses in accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, organizational behavior, and leadership. Students also take courses in economics, statistics, and business law to gain a better understanding of the broader business environment.

Marketing – Our marketing degree is a specialized academic program that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to create, promote, and distribute products and services in today’s global marketplace. The degree typically takes four years to complete and covers a wide range of topics related to marketing research, consumer behavior, branding, advertising, and digital marketing. The curriculum for a marketing degree includes courses in marketing research, consumer behavior, branding, advertising, public relations, and digital marketing. Students also take courses in statistics, economics, and business law to gain a better understanding of the broader business environment.

Supply Chain Management -Our supply chain management degree is a specialized academic program that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage the flow of goods and services from the point of origin to the point of consumption. The degree typically takes four years to complete and covers a wide range of topics related to logistics, operations management, procurement, and transportation. The curriculum for a supply chain management degree includes courses in logistics and supply chain management, operations management, procurement, transportation, and inventory management. Students also take courses in statistics, economics, and business law to gain a better understanding of the broader business environment.

Our programs are designed to equip students with critical skills and competencies that prepare them to pursue careers in governmental agencies, the private sector, non-profit organizations, and entrepreneurial ventures. The Department of Business Administration and the College of Business has established connections with corporate, government, and community organizations that provide internships, co-ops, and part-time and full-time positions.
